Former Toro Imari Brown enters her first season as an assistant coach with the women's basketball team in 2018-19.
Brown played at CSUDH from 2015-17 and was a two-time all-conference honoree. She was a key member of the women's basketball team that won both the CCAA regular season and tournament titles with a 22-10 record in 2015-16. Brown averaged 13.4 points and 5.2 rebounds that season and was a member of the All-CCAA First Team. The following year, in 2016-17, she recorded a team-high 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.8 steals per game and was placed on the All-CCAA Second Team.
Brown played at Central Arizona College her freshman year and Miami Dade College for her sophomore season. She averaged 13.2 points and 4.1 rebounds at Central Arizona, and 11.2 points and 4.6 rebounds at Miami Dade.
