Brittney Blankenship

After a standout four-year career (2004-07, 08-09) as a floor general for the Toros women's basketball squad, Brittney Blankenship begins her sixth year on the sidelines as an assistant coach for the program.

In her career, Blankenship saw action in 108 games with 100 starts on the floor. As a true freshman in 2004, Blankenship played in all 27 of the Toros’ games before going on to play in all but three opportunities over her career.

Blankenship went on to average 29.7 minutes per game and 8.9 points per game from the point guard position, helping to lead the Toros to a 69-42 record, including three appearances in the NCAA West Region tournament and the 2008-09 CCAA Championship title.

In the title game versus Humboldt State on March 3, 2009, Blankenship tallied 18 points and went 5-of-5 from the line to lead the Toros to a 74-69 victory, while also solidifying herself as one of CSUDH’s all-time best line shooters. I

As a senior, Blankenship went 83-93 from the line for a .892 percentage, placing her second on the Toros’ all-time season-best list. The mark not only led the CCAA but also  ranked 12th in the nation at the end of the season.

A southern California native, Blankenship was born and raised in Los Angeles, before moving to Palmdale where she attended Palmdale High School.

In her four years with the Falcons, she led them to three league championships and one CIF Southern Section semifinal appearance.

Blankenship, who earned her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in sports entertainment hospitality in 2009 from CSUDH, resides in Los Angeles.
