Atony Dunn

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Tony Dunn enters his second season as an assistant coach with California State Dominguez Hills Women’s Basketball team in 2023-24, with a focus in player development and opponent scouting. Dunn helped lead CSUDH to a record of 31-3, a historic 19 game win streak, and both a NCAA Division II Conference Championship and NCAA Division II Regional Championship (2023), culminating in the program’s first ever trip to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

Tony Dunn is a basketball skills trainer and coach based in Los Angeles, CA. Dunn played at Park Rose High School (2009) in Portland, OR, where he averaged 19 ppg, 9 rpg, and 3 apg on 50% shooting. He went on to play college basketball at El Camino College (2013-2014) in Torrance, CA.

His time at El Camino helped him earn both athletic and academic scholarships to Clark College (2014-2015) in Vancouver, WA. Dunn earned NWAC All-Academic Team honors and helped lead Clark to a 25-6 record. Clark finished their season going the distance in a dominant 78-59 win over Edmonds College and becoming the Northwest Athletic Conference Champions (2015).

Dunn is also currently the assistant coach of Geffen Academy at UCLA’s Boys' Varsity Basketball team since 2019. Geffen finished the recent season with a school record of 13-11, exceeding the school’s combined win total since its inception and finishing with a second-round playoff exit (2022-20223).  In the spring and summer of 2022, Dunn began coaching AAU basketball with Sports Academy Swish GBL’s 17 National (LA) team who went on to win the highly spotlighted Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago, IL, going undefeated at 6-0.

The success of SASGBL 17 National team helped each student-athlete on the roster earn college athletic and academic scholarships.
Dunn has coached and trained athletes at the elementary, middle school, high school, collegiate, and professional level.

He aspires to give back to the game through wisdom collected over the years and be a positive force in the lives of the athletes he works with on and off the court.
