Klintsone begins her second year as an assistant coach with the women's basketball program after two years on the women's basketball team at UC Irvine, with one season playing under Molly Goodenbour.
As an Anteater under Goodenbour, Klintsone saw action in 30 games with 19 starts, tallying 269 points, 80 assists, and 31 steals en route to a 9.0 ppg average in 28.6 minutes of action per game as UCI finished with a 9-7 record in league games.
In a stellar effort, Klintsone earned a Big West Player of the Week honor after a career-high 21 points against Pacific in an overtime win, following that with 16 points and a career-best 8 boards in a victory over UC Davis, giving both Klintsone and the Anteaters their first POW nod of the 2011-12 season.
Prior, she played two seasons at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri, and was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region 1st-team as well as the NJCAA Player of the Week. She averaged 15.8 points per game with 76 3-pointers made en route to finishing 4th in the country in 3PT FG% (.460) and 7th in free throw percentage (.840).
A member of the Latvian U-20 National Team, she won consecutive bronze medals in 2009 and 2010 after winning Division B gold at the U-18 level.
