Coach Long begins her third year as the Athletics Academic Advisor after enjoying a stellar playing career for the Toros softball program from 2002-05 in which she established pitching records for the most strikeouts in both a single season and career, as well as for wins in a career.
As the Academic Advisor, Long is responsible for the academic advising for current student-athletes. Additionally, she will assist with regulation of NCAA/CCAA rules and policies.
The Stockton native, who was on the CSUDH softball coaching staff in 2006 and 2007, is a 3-time All-CCAA selection, a 2-time All-Region choice, and a Verizon Academic All-District selection who further etched her name into the pantheons of the softball program after tossing a no-hitter against Western New Mexico on February 1, 2004.
