Mariah Ramirez returns for her second season as an assistant coach for the Cal State Dominguez Hills softball program after a solid four-year career pitching career at the University of Utah, posting a 21-27 mark for the Utes with an ERA of 4.92.

As a senior, Ramirez went 3-2 with a 0.95 ERA in 10 appearances out of the bullpen, earning a save in 14.2 innings of work.  Her best season came as a sophomore in 2013 when she posted a 4.49 ERA while picking up 10 wins in 152.2 innings pitched, fanning 54 batters in the process.

As a prep at Kennedy High School, Ramirez earned three 1st-team all-league selections as a pitcher and first baseman as well as a 2nd-team All-County nod.  She also earned the school's Athlete of the Month award in 2009 and was named a Scholar-Athlete in 2011.  As a member of So Cal Athletics 18U Gold club team that won two national titles, with her squad being the reigning ESPN Premier national champions, Ramirez took fifth at 2009 ASA Nationals 16U SCA's team and competed with the Lakewood Ladies, who earned three top-10 finishes at the ASA Nationals and won the 2007 14U ASA national title with American Athletics.
