Jack Gidney begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer program with nearly a decade of coaching experience under his belt.
Most recently, Gidney served as an assistant coach for Palos Verdes High School under current CSUDH men's soccer interim head coach Sean Lockhart since 2012, helping PVHS to three Bay League titles and a CIF Southern Section Division II crown after a three-year stint at Servite High School.
As a club coach, Gidney serves as the girl's director for Fram Soccer Club and head coach of Women's Premier Soccer League's (WPSL) Fram Ajax, holding both positions since 2017. He has had past tenures at Chelsea Soccer Club, Pateadores Soccer Club and Canyon Football Club. Additionally, he has also worked on CalSouth ODP|Pro+ day and residential camps.
Gidney holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) 'B' License, and studied at business and sport management at the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. There, he also worked with English Premier League sides Manchester City and Sunderland.Â
Gidney prepped at nearby Bishop Montgomery High School, where he was named the team's offensive player of the year as a junior.
Originally from Stratford upon Avon in the UK, Gidney moved to the United States in 2004.
