Santa Barbara Community College: Batted a .250 his first year landing the Vaqueros first in the Western State Conference with a record of 34-8 … Was awarded the coaches award by Coach Warrecker.
 
Downey High School: Graduated in 2005 as a Viking after lettering in baseball four years and three in football … Some of his season highs as a prep playing in the San Gabriel Valley Conference include, a batting average of .412 and slugging average of .250 … His senior year helped lead the team to CIF Championships with a 2.14 ERA … He was awarded the coaches award by Coach Gonzalez.
