Former Toro shortstop Adrian Guzman returns for his second season as assistant coach of the baseball program. He spent the 2018 campaign as the first base coach.
While at his post at first base, the Toros have stretched for 71 doubles. Eight would eventually turn into triples. The Toros have also stolen 29 bases.
A native of La Puente, Guzman played all throughout his collegiate career with the Toros. He started 158 of the 173 games he played and posted a .962 fielding percentage, making 498 career assists. He also owned a .243 batting average with 22 doubles, a triple and 61 RBI.
