Frequently Asked Questions (Facilities)

Q: Is the space available on our desired date?
            A: Our facilities are used by our campus collegiate teams most of the time. E-mail Melanie “Mimi” Molina (mmolina36@csudh.edu) to see if the desired date is available.

Q: When is the earliest we can set up?
            A: On the day of the event, the earliest set up can occur is at 7:00 am.

Q: Can we ship or drop things off at the venue beforehand?
            A: Unfortunately, no, all items will need to be delivered onsite when setup is occurring.

Q: Is additional staffing required for large rental?
            A: Yes, the need for staffing is determined by the Athletics Department. Staff duties includes assisting setup/tear down, crowd control and monitoring the upkeep of the facility.

Q: Are there any decorations restrictions or limitations?
            A: Yes, blue tape is only allowed to hang object onto the walls/doors/furniture. Zip ties can be used to hang signs/banners from bleachers. No objects can be hung from the roof.

Q: Do you have additionally furniture on-site available to rent, e.g. chairs?
            A: Chairs, tables and trashcans are available to rent (additional rates will apply).

Q: Is guest parking available? If so, is it free?
            A: Guest parking is available throughout our campus; parking is charged $8.00 per day and is enforced in every lot 24/7.

Q: Is security included in the rental fees?
            A: No, security is not included in the rental fee. Depending on the rental size (estimated attendance), Campus Police will determine if security is needed.

Q: Are there hidden cost like a service charge, gratuity, cleaning fees, or overtime charges?
            A: If rental starts/ends at a different time than indicated on contract, the overtime/hourly charges will be made. Cleaning fees is an additional charge that will be included in the original contract.

Q: Do you include any freebies or services with the venue rental fee?
            A: If the renters provide ice coolers/chest, we can provide ice refills throughout the event.
