Biography

2007: Set career best in every category in third season as a Toro ...  Was again tough on left-handed batters, holding them to a .261 batting average ... Was second on the team in batters fanned and innings pitched ...  Struck out three or more batters seven times ... Made eight starts in the outfield while batting .263 in those games.

2006: Held left-handed batters to a mere .231 batting average, allowing only three hits in 13 at bats ... Eleven of 18 appearances were one inning ... Did not give up a run in 10 appearances ... Picked up first collegiate win in a one-inning relief appearance against Cal Poly Pomona on February 15.

2005: Made 14 appearances last season, compiling 22 innings pitched ...  Struck out a season high six batters in 4.1 innings of work against Hawaii Pacific ... Struck out at least one batter in seven appearances of one inning or more.

Junipero Serra HS:  Four-year letter-winner for the Cavaliers under coach Rodney Williams … Named league’s Most Valuable Pitcher as a senior … Led squad to consecutive runner-up league finishes as a freshman and sophomore … Named to all-league teams all four seasons … Career numbers include .458 batting average and 2.10 ERA … Once struck out 107 batters in a season, including 16 in a single game … Earned Principal’s Award.
