TURLOCK -- Cal State Dominguez Hills suffered its second-straight shutout to conclude its CCAA weekend, this time coming up on the wrong end of a 3-0 outcome.
The Toros were outshot 13-5 including 8-1 in the second half in the loss, dropping CSUDH to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the CCAA.
Stan State wasted little time in getting on the board, scoring with just 38 seconds elapsed. The hosts doubled the score 20 minutes later for a 2-0 lead, a stark stat comparison in that Stan State took five shots compared to four for the Toros in the first half, a nearly even tally.
The Warriors put the game away in the 63rd minute, with their defense keeping the Toros off the board for the second time in three days, and for the third time this year.
CSUDH will look to get back into the win column on Friday, hosting Chico State for a 7 pm primetime match at Toro Stadium.
