Box Score AZUSA, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills closed out the CUI/APU Tournament with a sweep of Regis (Colo.) on Saturday afternoon at the Felix Event Center, earning a 3-0 victory behind a dominant offensive performance.
The Toros took a tight opening set 26-24 before cruising in the next two, 25-15 and 25-15. CSUDH hit .289 as a team and limited the Rangers to just .144 on the attack.
Bailey Fuches powered the offense with 15 kills on a .522 hitting percentage while adding four digs. Ava Hurry followed with 11 kills at a .474 clip and added three digs. Shyla Williams contributed eight kills and nine digs, while Camryn Perdue chipped in six kills on .400 hitting.
Jaiden Mojica paced the Toros with 23 assists, 10 digs and two service aces, while Giovannina De Sisto added 14 assists, three digs and two aces of her own. Nina Robles anchored the back row with 11 digs and two aces.
As a team, CSUDH finished with 45 kills, 44 assists, 47 digs and seven service aces.
"Solid team effort to close out the Eagle Classic. I'm really proud of the growth we made during this three day event," head coach Teddi Esko said.
For her standout performance throughout the weekend, Fuches was named to the All-Tournament Team.
