POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros closed the final game of their series against Cal Poly Pomona with a 0-12 loss.
The Toros were able to connect on several attempts at the plate.
Emilio Barrera tallied two hits against the Broncos pitching crew while
Garet Crenshaw,
Alex Sepulveda, and
Anthony Accordino all connected for a hit each.
Although the Toros made some contact, they were unable to convert into runs on the scoreboard. The Broncos were held to zero runs until the third inning where they scored three runs. The Toros would hold them to zero runs in the fourth and fifth innings. In the sixth, the Broncos expanded their lead as they scored seven more runs.
The Toros were unable cross the plate, ultimately falling to the Broncos, 0-12.
The Toros final home series of the 2024 season will begin this Thursday, May 2
nd with first pitch set for 3pm as they take on the San Francisco State Gators.
