CERRITOS, Calif. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros delivered notable performances in various events at the recent track and field invitational.
Alyssa Renwick led the way for the Toros, finishing 12th in the 100 meters with a time of 12.44 seconds, assisted by a wind reading of 2.2 m/s.
Teloni Ervin placed 25th with a time of 12.88 seconds (2.6 m/s wind), while
Chantel Palmer rounded out the event in 50th place with a time of 15.59 seconds (1.6 m/s wind).
Leticia Soloman represented the Toros in the 800 meters, finishing 36th with a time of 3:06.22.
The Toros' 4x100 relay team, comprising
Melandy Davis,
Leloni Ervin,
Teloni Ervin, and
Alyssa Renwick, secured 5th place with a time of 54.02 seconds.
Zanna Hurst led the Toros in the javelin throw, finishing 22nd with a mark of 21.66 meters (71 feet 1 inch). Kylie Gallick followed in 25th place with a throw of 20.04 meters (65 feet 9 inches), while Nala Williams placed 26th with a mark of 19.86 meters (65 feet 2 inches).
Katrina Witbeck finished 28th with a throw of 18.74 meters (61 feet 6 inches). Freshman Mlia Goldsmith, Kylee Edgar, Hosanna Walker, and
Camille Brown completed the event for the Toros, placing 30th, 31st, 32nd, and 33rd, respectively, with marks of 17.71 meters (58 feet 1 inch), 13.24 meters (43 feet 5 inches), 13.08 meters (42 feet 11 inches), and 10.51 meters (34 feet 6 inches).
The Toros showcased their determination and talent, setting the stage for continued improvement and success in future competitions.
