CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros showcased their fighting spirit in a challenging matchup against the Cal State San Marcos Cougars, despite a tough 15-5 outcome.
The Toros set the tone early, jumping to a lead in the first inning with a majestic solo home run by
Trey Winget, demonstrating their offensive capabilities right out of the gate.
Though Cal State San Marcos responded with a series of scoring innings, the Toros' determination was on full display in the sixth inning. Rallying from behind, CSUDH mounted an impressive offensive effort.
CJ Masciel ignited the comeback with a key RBI single, followed by
Alex Sepulveda and
Noah Karliner who both delivered crucial hits to drive in additional runs, closing the gap to 9-5. This inning highlighted the Toros' ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
