STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros showcased their talent and determination at the Fastrack Last Chance track and field meet, with athletes competing across various events and demonstrating impressive performances.
In the Women's 60m Dash, the Toros were well-represented by a group of promising athletes. Freshman
Camille Brown led the pack for Dominguez Hills, finishing 24th with a time of 9.68 seconds. Close on her heels were sophomore
Chantel Palmer and
Kaila Jenkins, who placed 25th and 26th with times of 9.71 and 9.74 seconds, respectively. Freshman
Hanna Espinoza also competed, finishing 29th with a time of 10.20 seconds.
The Championship Preliminaries of the Women's 60m Dash saw sophomore
Leloni Ervin secure the 21st place with a time of 8.12 seconds.
In the Women's 200 Meters, freshman
Melandy Davis finished 34th with a commendable time of 27.46 seconds.
Alyssa Renwick, another freshman, also took part, finishing 59th with a time of 28.39 seconds.
The Women's 400 Meters featured an impressive performance by sophomore
Teloni Ervin, who placed 14th with a time of 1:01.93.
In the Women's Shot Put, sophomore Fallon Forman led with a 17th place finish, achieving a mark of 8.41 meters (27 feet, 7.25 inches), followed by senior
Katrina Witbeck in 27th place with a throw of 6.10 meters (20 feet, 0.25 inches). Sophomore
Jennifer Herrera also competed, finishing 28th with a mark of 5.47 meters (17 feet, 11.5 inches), contributing to the team's overall performance in field events.
The Toros head to the outdoors as they compete in the Oxy Distance Carnival and Spring Break Classic from Friday, March 8
th to Saturday, March 9
th in Los Angeles.
