MANKATO, M.N. – The Toros traveled to Mankato to compete in the Maverick Premier where they competed in several indoor track and field events.
In the Women's 60 Meters Preliminaries,
Kaila Jenkins showcased her speed, clocking in at 9.51 seconds, placing 42nd overall. The Women's 200 Meters saw
Melandy Davis finishing 29th with a time of 27.87 seconds, while
Alyssa Renwick wasn't far behind, securing the 39th spot with a time of 29.05 seconds.
Chantel Palmer also competed, finishing 41st with a time of 34.20 seconds.
The Women's 4 x 400 Relay was a highlight for the Toros, with the team of
Leloni Ervin,
Teloni Ervin,
Hanna Espinoza, and
Christine Duarte delivering a commendable performance. They secured the 7th place with a time of 4:25.04, earning 2 points for their team in a strong display of teamwork and endurance.
In the Women's Shot Put event, Fallon Forman achieved a mark of 8.11 meters (26 feet, 7.25 inches), placing 29th overall. Her series included throws of 7.60, 8.11, and 7.61 meters.
Katrina Witbeck also competed, finishing 30th with her best throw of 5.90 meters (19 feet, 4.25 inches), with her series including throws of 5.74, 5.90, and 5.29 meters.
The Toros last indoor track meet will be Friday, February 23
rd as they head to New York to compete at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
