RONHERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros narrowly lost to the Sonoma State Seawolves with a final score of 1-0.
Throughout the 90-minute contest,
Kylie Yuzon faced relentless pressure from the Seawolves offense. Despite the opposition's efforts, she made five critical saves, demonstrating her composure and agility between the posts.
Alyssa Villalobos was a standout in the forward line, as she constantly pressured the opposition's defense, registering four shots all on target.
Lauryn Bailey, a key presence in the midfield, made her mark with four shots, two of which were on target, attempting to break the deadlock. Her efforts were complemented by
Cynthia Ramirez, who had a shot on goal and played a crucial role in orchestrating the Toros' attacks.
On the defensive end,
Anahi Corrales and
Sora Yun held firm, thwarting the Seawolves advances and ensuring that the Toros remained in contention.
Despite the relentless efforts of the Toros, including a shot from
Angelica Taylor,
Christine Duarte, and
Alicia Covarrubias, they were unable to secure a goal.
The Toros final match on the season will be Thursday, November 2
nd as they take on Cal State LA in Los Angeles at 2pm.
