CARSON – In a hard-fought match against the Stanislaus State Warriors, the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros were unable to find the back of the net, resulting in a 2-0 defeat.
In the face of a challenging match against Stanislaus State, several players from the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros tried to make an impact on the pitch. Leading the offensive charge for the Toros was
Alyssa Villalobos, who had a total of four shots with two on target, followed closely by
Cynthia Ramirez and
Lauryn Bailey, both registering two shots apiece and one shot on goal each.
Angelica Taylor,
Skyler Schultz, and
Alicia Covarrubias each added a shot, but the Toros' efforts were thwarted by a determined Stanislaus State defense.
On the defensive end, goalkeeper
Abigail Escalante played the full 90 minutes, making three crucial saves despite conceding two goals. Defenders
Azalia Salazar,
Kylie Danelo, and
Emma Arkus put in valiant efforts, with Salazar contributing for 48 minutes and Danelo and Arkus playing the entire match.
