Women's Soccer Closes 2022 Season with Difficult Loss to Otters

CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team closed the book on 2022 with an 8-0 defeat to Cal State Monterey Bay Thursday.
 
The Toros end the heartbreaking season 1-13-4 overall, 1-8-2 in the CCAA, placing them 11th in the conference table.
 
The Otters did all the damage in the first half, scoring the first goal in the third minute and then score three times in the span of three minutes to take a 4-0 lead.
 
The best shot the Toros had was in the 55th minute. Sarah Martinez dribbled to be alone in the lower left corner of the goal box, her left-foot shot veered left of the near post.
 
Dominguez Hills made one last effort to get at least a goal within the final seconds, but the Otter defense held them in check as they did all match long.
 
Monterey Bay outshot Dominguez Hills 19-5 overall, 15-2 on goal.
