REDLANDS – With a week left before the Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team officially takes the field to open the 2022 season, the Toros got one final workout.

Alberto Luevano each slugged in three RBIs to lead the Toros to a 12-2 exhibition win at NCAA Division III Redlands Friday afternoon.
After a quiet first inning, Dominguez Hills struck with a run in the second and third innings, three runs each in as many innings and one more run in the ninth.
Dominguez Hills racked up 13 hits on the board with five different players racking up two. Luevano hit a doubled in the fourth and a hit a 3-run home run in the sixth.
Four of five pitchers each had two innings of work.
Dylan Steen, returning from the 2020 season, impressively struck out the side in the first two innings.
The Toros are set to open a home-and-home series with Redlands' conference foe La Verne. The season begins Friday in LaVerne at 2 p.m. and then the Toros welcome the Leopards Saturday at 1 p.m.
