SEASIDE -- Cal State Dominguez Hills' California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) match at Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday has been canceled due to the Otters being placed on the conference's COVID-19 protocol Friday, the University announced Friday afternoon.
The match will not be rescheduled.
Per conference regulations, the match will be considered a win towards Dominguez Hills' conference record and a loss for Monterey Bay, which also had to cancelled its Friday match against Cal State LA. As for NCAA guidelines, the match will be considered a no-contest and will not factor into either team's overall record. Therefore, the Toros remain 0-9 following their loss at SF State but will be 1-3 in the CCAA. Monterey Bay stays at 7-3 overall but drop to 1-3 in conference play.
The Toros return home next weekend to play host to the reigning NCAA Division II champions Cal State San Bernardino Friday at 7 p.m. and Cal Poly Pomona Saturday at 6 p.m.
