CALIFORNIA - The Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team was picked to finish tied for eighth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) this season, according to a poll of the league's coaches. The announcement was made Friday by the conference office.
The Toros received 49 points and are even with Chico State. CSUDH is picked to finish ahead of Cal State East Bay (33), Cal State Monterey Bay (26) and Humboldt State (21). Cal State San Bernardino, the reigning NCAA and CCAA champion from 2019, received all possible first-place votes with 11 (coaches not allowed to vote for their own team) for 121 points. Cal State LA was the recipient of the final first-place vote and is picked to finish second with 111 points. Cal State San Marcos (80), Sonoma State (78), San Francisco State (78), Stanislaus State (76) and Cal Poly Pomona (70) rounded out the top seven in the conference.

Jennifer Adeva embarks on her 11th season at the helm of the program. CSUDH will open its season on the road at the Broncos Fall Classic, hosted at Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 3-4. The Toros will play Western Oregon at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 in their first contest.
