CHICO – 
Coco Ikpe had nine kills and seven digs, 
Bailey Fuches was credited for 18 assists while 
Angelina Cabal made 13, but the effort was not enough as the Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team was swept 20-25, 21-25, 14-25 at Chico State Saturday night to wrap up the brief road trip.
 
The Toros still in search for their first true win of the season after 13 attempts, did hit 15.5 percent on the attack, which was the highest in the last eight matches. The Toros did average .220 in the second round of the bout. But Chico State (6-10, 2-6 CCAA) outplayed Dominguez Hills defensively, making 46 digs and 10 total blocks.
 
The Wildcats hit 36.1 percent on the attack.
 
Nicole Peery racked up seven kills, Fuches made six and 
Renee Wheeler and 
Jesi Diekmann each had five.
 
Dominguez Hills returns to Southern California to play a home-and-home series with Cal State LA. The Toros will play host Friday and the Golden Eagles will get their turn Saturday. Both are 5 p.m. first serves.
 
The Toros and Golden Eagles will participate in the CCAA's Dig Pink in support of breast cancer awareness month.
