With a one-run lead, the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the seventh, junior
Alyssa Olague induced two popups and earned a strikeout, in that order, to defeat Biola 3-2.

Freshman
Clarisa Ramirez (1-0) started in the circle and tossed the first six innings, giving up two runs, one earned, and striking out four. Junior
Kelcy Telles went 2-for-4 with a run and fellow junior
Raquel Jaime went 1-for-2 with three RBI. Senior
Chenoa Au was 1-for-3 with two runs.

All five runs in the games were scored in the first three innings. In the top of the first, Au tripled to right center and was brought in by a sacrifice fly from Jaime. The Eagles responded with a run in the bottom of the frame to even the score, 1-1. In the third, Telles hit a single and took second as Au reached on a fielder's choice. A triple from Jaime cleared the bases as the Toros took a two-run lead. The CSUDH defense limited Biola to just one run the rest of the way to prevail by one.

CSUDH 4, WWU 3
Olague (2-0) retired the first 10 batters in a row and threw a seven-inning complete game with eight strikeouts to lead the charge en route to a comeback 4-3 win over Western Washington. Jaime and Au were still hot at the plate, each going 2-for-4 with two RBI. Senior
Jessica Lane went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Olague retired The Toros once again struck in the first. Au hit a single and came in on Jaime's triple to right center. In the top of the third, Lane singled, stole second and took third on a Telles ground out and touched home on Jaime's right field single as CSUDH took a 2-0 lead.

Things got interesting late in the game. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Vikings scored three runs, including a run home run, to go up 3-2.

However, the Toros responded with two runs to rally back. Freshman
Alex Davis drew a walk, took second on Messersmith's sacrifice bunt and third on Lane's single. Telles hit an infield single, beating out a throw from the WWU third baseman, to load the bases. Au came up with a timely single up the middle to plate Lane and Davis to account for the final score of the game.

Olague was able to get the three outs necessary in the bottom of the seventh inning to close the game.
