Box Score SEASIDE – Jordan Ramirez dished out 13 assists and reached a dozen digs for a double-double and Rylee Brown marked 10 kills but it wasn't enough as Cal State Dominguez Hills' volleyball team was swept (16-25, 17-25, 17-25) at Cal State Monterey Bay in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play Friday night.
 
The offense was a struggle for Dominguez Hills (7-2, 0-2 CCAA). Although they hit 20 percent in the first set, the Toros ended the night hitting nearly 15 percent on the attack. Monterey Bay (5-6, 1-3 CCAA) hit 35.4 percent with Mollin Helfrich racking up 11 kills and committing one error.
 
Dominguez Hills' only lead in the match came in the second set, when it started out the round leading 2-1 following a kill by Taylor Benitez-Fanslow.
 
The Toros return home for the first time in a month, hosting UC San Diego on a rare Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. The Tritons are coming off a three-set loss on the road at Cal Poly Pomona and will play No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino Saturday.
