TURLOCK - The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team opened California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play with a statement. The Toros went on the road and took down Stanislaus State by a score of 3-0, Friday night at Warrior Stadium. CSUDH improves to 1-4 overall and 1-0 in conference action. Stanislaus State drops to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the CCAA.

WHAT HAPPENED?
-In the sixth minute, sophomore
George Almeida collected a Stanislaus State clearance attempt from just outside the top of the box and sent a right-footed shot to the lower left corner. Stanislaus State's Edgar Benitez was able to get a hand on the ball, but the shot was strong enough to roll it past the line.
- In the 17th minute, junior
Joshua Varon found senior
Stefan Skrinjaric on the left wing with a through ball. Skrinjaric hit a rocket from the left side into the lower right corner past Benitez.
- In the 27th minute, Varon's corner kick was headed by several different Warrior defenders before freshman
Ramiro Palencia was able to get a foot on the ball and get it into the net for the score.
- CSUDH had 3 shots on goal in the second half and endured nine shots from Stanislaus State.
