RIVERSIDE - The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team's 2017 campaign came to an end at the hands of No. 2 California Baptist in the second round of the NCAA Championship, Saturday at Lancer Soccer field. The fifth-seeded Toros were defeated by a final score of 5-0 to the first-seeded Lancers.

CSUDH finishes the season with a 13-5-3 record. CBU remains unbeaten with a 17-0-2 record.

The Toros did not get a shot off in the first 45 minutes and trailed 2-0 at halftime. The Lancers scored in the 30th and 37th minute.

CBU scored less than four minutes into the second half to take a three-goal lead. The Lancers put the game away in the final five minutes, netting two more, to account for the final score. CSUDH was able to get three shots off in the period, two on target from
Charlie Gonzalez and
Angel Ayala. Goalkeeper
Chase Gentry amassed seven saves.
