Wildcats Down Toros 4-0

CARSON -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team was defeated 4-0 by Chico State in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Thursday night at Toro Stadium.
 
The Wildcats improve to 10-5-1 overall and 6-4-1 in conference play. The Toros drop to 4-9-2 overall and 3-5-2 in the CCAA.
 
Chico State took the lead in the 30th minute with a goal from Brielynn Tovani. The Wildcats led 1-0 at halftime.
 
Three minutes into the second half, Tovani scored once again to give Chico State a 2-0 lead. The Wildcats made it 4-0 in a span of 38 seconds in the 68th minute with consecutive goals from Erin Woods and Kasey Cruz.
 
Toro goalkeeper Ruth-Maria Soto compiled three saves in 71 minutes at goal. Elisa Martin played the final 19 minutes and recorded one save.
 
CSUDH will host Stanislaus State for its final game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.
