2015-16 Women's Basketball Preview: Enjoying the Moment

CARSON -- Already with a pair of California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament Championships under her belt in the past three years, fourth-year Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball head coach Molly Goodenbour gears for her fourth season at the helm of the Cardinal and Gold ship, which also marks the final year she will be able to coach four 4-year seniors who began this journey with her back in 2012.

Led by 1st-team All-CCAA selections in guards Breanne Garcia and Monay Lee, along with sharp-shooter Julia Poecksteiner and uber-athletic Kielyn Wilson, these four-year seniors have come full circle after winning just 10 games as freshmen, to a whopping 46 the last two seasons that included a program best 26 victories last season which also saw the Toros grab a share of the CCAA regular season title with 19 wins in league play. Add in seniors Jenee Gooden and Anandi Jimenez, who are both in their third years in Cardinal and Gold, and Goodenbour realizes these seniors have earned the right to enjoy the final year of this four-year ride, a year that could end with the senior sextet's third-straight CCAA Tournament Title.

With two junior newcomers in sharp-shooting Ali Bettencourt and super athlete Imari Brown also joining the mix, the 2015-16 campaign has all the makings of another memorable ride.

Here's head coach Goodenbour, on her team and the upcoming 2015-16 season, which starts tomorrow at the Conference Commissioners Association Division II Tip-Off Classic at the Anaheim Arena.
