Toros Send Small Contingent to Prestigious Mt. SAC Relays

Charlene Brown led a small Toro contingent at the Mt. SAC relays this past weekend

WALNUT -- Just a handful of Toro tracksters made the hour long trip to Walnut to compete in the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays, fresh off competition at Thursday's Twilight Open, hosted by Cal State L.A.

The 4x100 relay team of Sanita McNeally, LeShaya Evans, Charlene Brown and Valencia Bernard placed 13th overall with a time of 47.44 in a field filled with Division I entries, with the Toro quartet besting seven other schools in the race.

Individually, Brown placed 52nd in the 400 meter dash in a time of 56.62, while McNeally posted a 67th place finish after crossing the 100 meter line in 12.34.

The full Toro contingent will next compete at the Triton Invite on April 26, hosted by UC San Diego, in a prelude to the CCAA Championships the following weekend.
