McNeally and Brown Lead Strong Effort at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge

LA JOLLA -- Sophomore Sanita McNeally won her two specialties while senior Charlene Brown took home first in her specialty as the Cal State Dominguez Hills track and field team put forth a strong showing at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge today, hosted by UC San Diego.

McNeally posted the fastest time in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.14, just one tenth off the time needed for a provisional qualifying time.

The Richmond native then took the 200 in 25.29, just half a second off qualifying provisionally.

All-American Brown followed suit by winning the 400 meter dash, crossing the line in 56.76, just over seven-tenths slower than the "B" time neeed of 56.00.

Brown then teamed with Janelle McGee, LeShaya Evans and Kiana Cannon to post a second-place finish in the 4x100 relay, trailing host UCSD's quartet by just .16.
