SAN DIEGO -- Senior Whitney Lee put away 14 balls with just three errors as Cal State Dominguez Hills rebounded from an opening match loss to host PLNU by racing past Montana State Billings in a 3-0 sweep to finish the Seaside Classic with a 3-1 mark.

With the split, CSUDH moves to 3-1 on the year.

Lee was on fire in the nightcap as she hit .611 in the win, adding 5 digs and 3 block assists to her statline in the 25-15, 25-14, 25-19 win.

Despite Lee being the only Toro with double-figure kills, the Toros hit .354 compared to just .141 for the Yellowjackets in the convincing win.

Setter Dana Brown added 37 assists while Elizabeth Krieger and Korryne Kelley each dug nine balls.

In the opener, newcomers Tarryn Luafalemana and Alijah Gunsaulus paced Cal State Dominguez Hills with 19 and 18 kills, respectively, but host Point Loma Nazarene boasted four players in double-figure kills as the Sea Lions handed CSUDH its first loss of the year on day two of the Seaside Tournament.

In the 25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 23-25, 12-15 loss, the Toros hit .205 compared to .176 for the hosts, but service aces made the difference as the Sea Lions connected for 10 aces compared to two for CSUDH.

Brown added 46 sets and 10 digs, while Kelley paced the defense with a match-high 22 digs.

For their efforts over the two-day tournament, Lee and Luafalemana were named to the All-Tournament team.

CSUDH will head back to the San Diego area next weekend for the Triton Invitational, taking on Cal Baptist on Friday, September 13, starting at 10 am.
