LOS ANGELES -- Cal State Dominguez Hills sprinted to a 45-26 halftime lead over Cal State San Marcos on day two of the CSULA-hosted Thanksgiving Classic and never looked back en route to a 77-47 blowout over the Cougars.  Monay Lee's 16 points led a trio of Toros in double-figure scoring while Kielyn Wilson notched the game's lone double-double in the win.

For her efforts over the two-day tournament, Lee was named the tournament's MVP, while Tayler Champion also making the all-tourney squad as the Toros improve to 2-1 with the decision after winning their second-straight.

Cal State San Marcos took a 2-0 lead on a bucket by Cassie Damyanovich, but it was all Cardinal and Gold after that as a Champion triple at 18:54 gave the Toros the lead for good and spurred a 13-2 run in the process.

A Breanne Garcia old-fashionied 3-point play gave CSUDH its first double-figure lead at the 12:19 mark, an advantage that reached 21 on two occasions later in the half, the last coming on a Champion layup as the Toros settled for the 19-point lead at the half.

After the break, the Toros pushed their lead to 27 on a Wilson bucket with 8:33 left in regulation, and to a game-high 33 at 73-40 on a Jenee Gooden layup before the eventual 77-47 final.

The Toros used a 48.6 success rate from the field in the first half to run away with the contest, turning 11 steals into an 18-6 edge in points off turnovers as CSUSM coughed up the ball 18 times compared to just seven for the Toros.

Champion finished with 14 points and nine boards, with Wilson tallying 12 boards and 10 points in the win.

Lee also chipped in five steals and three assists, with Simone Thompson nailing 2-of-3 from behind the arc for half her team's four triples.

CSUDH will continue CCAA road action next weekend at Cal State East Bay and CS Monterey Bay, with first tip for both games set for 5:30 pm.
