Box Score
CARSON -- Cal State Dominguez Hills pulled off another marathon win after taking a thrilling 18-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20 15-10 decision over a game Cal State East Bay squad, with Whitney Lee posting 16 kills with just two errors in the win.

With the win, CSUDH improves to 5-6, 3-1 CCAA, while the Pioneers fall to 5-6, and 0-4 in CCAA play.

After coming off a marathon match last night, the Pioneers started strong to the tune of a .342 hitting percentage in set one, turning a 15-all tie into a 25-18 runaway win.

The Toros, catching their second wind, evened the match at 1-1 after taking an early 11-4 lead and withstanding CSUEB inching to 15-13 at one point, only to have a Pioneer service error and Korryne Kelley's strong serving widen the gap en route to the 25-22 win.

CSUEB, however, would fire back in set three to take a 2-1 lead, and look to close out the match in the fourth after playing to a 9-9 tie.

CSUDH would answer back behind the hot service of Elizabeth Krieger and Hillary Domecus to take a 17-11 lead, eventually taking set four at 25-20 to force the deciding frame.

In the fifth, the Toros fired on all cylinders after playing to a 5-5 tie, collecting 11 kills with just one error in the frame.

The turning point came with East Bay serving but trailing 11-8 when a Samatha Siebert serve was passed directly to the net by the Toro receiver, where setter Dana Brown dumped the pass to the floor to all but seal the set, and the match.

The Toros got stronger as the match progressed, making just two errors over the final two sets to give them a .249 success rate for the match.

Lee was virtually unstoppable as the junior middle pounded down 16 kills to tie for match-high honors, finishing with a .519 hitting percentage, adding 5 block assists to give her 19.5 points in the win.

Abbey Prusa and Krieger chipped in with 14 kills each as part of four Toros in double-figure kills.  Krieger added 20 digs to lead the team, while Brown' 57 assists was one more than that of the entire Pioneer squad.

The Toros will look to make it three-straight on Wednesday as cross-town rival Cal State L.A. makes the 18-mile trek down the 710, with first serve set for 7 pm in the Torodome.  The match will be streamed at www.GoToros.com/live.
