Box Score
CARSON -- Coming off a pair of grueling road games in tight losses last weekend, Cal State Dominguez Hills came out flat against an energized Cal Baptist squad riding a 5-1 record entering tonight, and the result was a convincing 72-37 win for the Lancers in this afternoon's non-conference match-up to close the 2012 calendar home season for the Toros.

With the loss, CSUDH drops to 1-6 on the young season.

The contest was close early as the teams traded 1-point leads through the first 12 minutes of play, until the Lancers went on a 7-0 run to push their lead to 18-11 with 5:46 left in the half.

A pair of Monay Lee free throws cut into CSUDH's deficit, only to have CBU end the period on a 13-5 run to enter the break up 31-18.

It was all the visitors in the second half as an 11-0 run set the tone for the second stanza.

CBU pushed its lead to as much as 31 at 51-20 on a Brittney Lewis triple with 12:45 left in regulation, and to a game-high 35 on a Myriah Hicks lay-up with 49 second left to closet the scoring.

Lewis led all scorers with 21 points with Hicks and Jasmine Sauser pouring in 16 and 13 points, respectively.

Lee led the Toros with 10 points, and was the lone Toro to reach the double-figure scoring mark.

CSUDH shot just 17.8% from the field compared to 45% for CBU, while the Lancers also won the battle of the boards, pulling own 44 reboudns to 34 for the Toros.

CSUDH will get back to CCAA play this Sunday at cross-town rival Cal State L.A., with first tip set for 2 pm.
