LOS ANGELES -- Cal State Dominguez Hills tallied a 58 to 28 advantage on the boards against Fresno Pacific on day two of the CSULA Thanksgiving Classic, and the result was a convincing 81-53 win over the Sundbirds as five Toros scored in double figures.

With the win, CSUDH picks up its first decision of the year to improve to 1-3, while the Sunbirds continue to seek their first win in falling to 0-6.

The Toros set the tone early, making half their shots in the first half while holding FSU to just 8-of 33 (24.2%).  CSUDH held an early 4-0 lead before pushing it to 17-8 with just over 10 minutes left in the first half, and to 12 at 34-22 to close the first period, the final bucket for CSUDH coming on a Fia Hoskinson jumper.

It was all CSUDH after the break as well as the Toros built a 19 point lead at 41-22 on a Monay Lee free throw, one of her team-high 16 points, before the first 20-point lead of the afternoon took place on a pair of Lee freebies at the 11:26 mark.

FSU cut the lead to the teens on a Charde Stevens foul shot, only to have CSUDH put the game out of reach on an 8-0 run starting at the 8:05 mark as buckets by Jamie Robinson, Lundy and Breanne Garcia started the run, wtih a pair of Robinson free throws after an offensive board capped the spurt.

The lead reached as high as 34 on two Brianna Cheatum free throws as CSUDH settled for the 28-point win.

Robinson finished with 15 points with Joi Bertrand and Kielyn Wilson chipping in 10 apiece to round out the five Toros in double-figure scoring.

Cheatum led all players with 10 boards, with Robinson puling down 7 and Garcia 6 to lead the charge.

The Toros take to the road for CCAA Conference action next weekend, taking on CS San Bernardino on Friday, November 30.
