Box Score
POMONA -- In a see-saw match that saw each team alternate wins, host Cal Poly Pomona completed a 25-20, 23-25, 25-17, 15-25, 15-13 victory over the Toros tonight in which the Broncos took all the odd numbered sets.

With the loss, CSUDH falls to 7-9, 5-4 CCAA, while CPP improves to 8-8, 4-5 CCAA.

After a first set in which the Toros hit in the negative en route to a 25-20 loss, CSUDH regrouped to take a tight set two despite being out-hit by the Broncos .289 to .239.

CPP took its turn in the third with a runaway win before the Toros answered with a runaway win in set four to even the match, making just one hitting error in 30 swings.

Set five, however, saw CSUDH run out of gas as it put away just four balls while committing four errors, as the hosts withstood three late ties to score the final two points of the match on consecutive kills.

Elizabeth Krieger paced the Toros with 14 kills and a .209 hitting percentage, adding 14 digs in the loss.

Abbey Prusa chipped in 11 kills while setter Dana Brown enjoyed a monster match with 35 sets and 26 digs.

A trio of CPP players put away at least 10 balls on the night, while dominating at the net en route to a 14 to 6 block advantage.

The Toros will look to get back in the win column next weekend on the road, taking on Chico State and CS Stanislaus.
