Toros Volleyball Fall to No. 5 Cal State San Bernardino in Three

SAN BERNARDINO --  A depleted Toro roster was no match for the recently crown 2007 CCAA conference champions, Cal State San Bernardino, as CSUDH fell in three, 30-19, 30-23, 13.  With the loss CSUDH falls to 2-23, 1-15 CCAA and CSUSB improves to 23-2, 15-1 CCAA.

The Coyotes have now beaten the Toros in their last 30 meetings dating back to 1992.

Drawn, ranked No. 4 in the nation in hitting percentage, led the Coyotes with 11 kills on 15 attacks for a .733 hitting percentage. Olhausen, the CCAA newcomer of the year as a junior had 10 kills on 16 attacks with two errors for .500 hitting to go with seven digs. Reserve setter Alyssa Auck had 22 assists while libero Meghan Haas had a match-high 13 digs.

Ashley Clark was the mainstay for the Toros with 10 kills on 22 attacks for .364 hitting with five digs and a solo block. Tiffany Bull had 24 assists for the Toros who had just 10 players     p for the match.

CSUSB, ranked third in the nation in hitting percentage at .293 hit a robust .391 against the Toros on 47 kills in 87 attacks with just 13 errors. There were 12 service aces by the Coyotes, four of them by junior middle blocker Jennifer Washington.

The Toros will next be in action tomorrow, Saturday, November 3, when they travel to Cal Poly Pomona for a 7:00 pm scheduled match
