TURLOCK, Calif.—The Cal State Stanislaus women's soccer team would not find luck on their side as visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills gave the Warriors a 2-1 loss in conference action at Warrior Field Sunday afternoon. The Toros improve to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in CCAA play.

The Toros got on the board early in the first half, scoring on Corrie Hirokawa's pass to Rachele McDonald who headed it in to go up 1-0 in the 14th minute.
In the 59th minute, Hirokawa's pass found Kristen Boskovich who chipped the ball over the defense and into the left side of the net to go up 2-0.
The Warriors did not give up and their persistence paid off when Michelle Martinez found herself one-on-one with the 'keeper who misplayed the ball. Martinez would blast the ball in the open net to cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 69th minute.
Cal State Stanislaus pushed for the equalizer in the final 20 minutes but could not best the Toro defense.
The Toros had a 20-15 advantage in shots and a slight 11-9 advantage in shots on goal.
Jessica Sitarz made nine saves in the loss, while her counterpart, Ashley De Alejandro made seven.
Cal State Dominguez Hills next plays at Cal State L.A. on Thursday, with the start at 7:00 p.m.
