TURLOCK, Calif.--Cal State Stanislaus posted an 88-80 women's basketball win over visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills in CCAA action Saturday night at Warrior Arena.
The Warriors improve to 7-16 overall and 3-13 in the conference, snapping a seven-game losing streak. The Toros drop to 13-9 overall and 8-8 in conference play.
Cal State Stanislaus had a balanced offensive attack with five players scoring in double figures, led by sophomore Shristy Kumar's 22 points. Lindsie Lefort and Gwen Page each posted 17 points, Antwinette Turner had 12 and Latricia Nickeberry had 10.
After trailing, 42-33, at the half, the Warriors overcame an 11-point deficit early on in the second half after a 12-2 run over three minutes to trail by just one, 48-47, with 15:43 on the clock.
In the final minutes the Warriors again rallied back from a nine-point differential with a 24-7 run over the last four minutes to seal the win.
The Toros have a homestand coming up next weekend with Cal State San Bernardino visiting Friday and UC San Diego calling on Saturday.
