CARSON, CA -- Freshman forward Kristen Boskovich (Palos Verdes/Peninsula HS) tapped in the Golden Goal five minutes into the second overtime period to give Cal State Dominguez Hills a 2-1 win over visiting Cal State Bakersfield Wednesday afternoon in California Collegiate Athletic Association action at Toro Stadium.

The win elevates the Toros to 11-4-2 overall and 6-3-2 in league play. The loss drops Bakersfield to 4-12-1 and 3-8-0.

Candace Hearn (Whittier/Whittier HS) put CSUDH up 1-0 in the 65th minute on a set piece. Sandy Lloyd (Fountain Valley/Fountain Valley HS) sent in a ball from the right side inside the penalty box where Hearn headed her shot to the far netting for the lead.

But with just over a minute to play in regulation, CSUB equalized off a direct kick just outside the box from Moriah Neville to send the match into overtime.

That goal set up Boskovich's heroics in the 105th minute of play. Boskovich took a nifty short cross in front of the mouth of the goal and tapped her shot home from close range to give the Toros the victory.

Cal State Dominguez Hills controlled play throughout outshooting the 'Runners 33-11 in the match, including three shots that hit the crossbar in the second half. Freshman goalie Lisa Agramonte (Lakewood/Mayfair HS) made four stops in the match to earn the win. CSUB netminder Ashley Witten recorded a season-high 11 saves in between the pipes.
