ROHNERT PARK, Calif.--Sonoma State gave Cal State Dominguez Hills one of their worst losses in recent memory with a 6-0 drubbing of the Toros (12-2-2, 6-2-2 CCAA) Sunday afternoon in California Collegiate Athletic Association action.

Freshman Nathan Medina who posted three goals in the game and tied the Sonoma State record for goals in a season by a freshman with 13 to date, led the offensive attack for the Seawolves.

The Seawolves struck early and often in the first half of action. Medina would open up the scoring for the Seawolves when he scored on a deflected shot by sophomore Steven Browne at the 10:43 mark. Seven minutes later Medina would strike again, this time off a double assist by freshman Eric Lafon and Browne.

Senior Travis Ryan would put the Seawolves up 3-0 when he converted on a penalty kick opportunity in the 36th minute. Just 19 seconds later senior Mike Kelley would score on a David Seidel assist, giving Sonoma State a 4-0 lead at the half.

The second half would see two more goals by the Seawolves as the Toros failed to gain any momentum. In the 74th minute a nice cross by junior Jaime Riveria found its way to Medina who scored the record tying goal. Freshman Vince Morrow rounded out the day's scoring, firing in a goal on an assist from Seidel.

CSUDH is back in league action at home on Wednesday hosting rival Cal State Bakersfield at 3 PM.
