Carson, CA -- Reigning CCAA MVP Kei Kamara (Lawndale, CA/Leuzinger HS) got the Toros back on track with two goals against Cal Poly Pomona Tuesday afternoon, leading CSUDH to a 5-0 shutout over their CCAA foes. With the victory, the Toros move to 11-1-2, 5-1-2 CCAA, while the Broncos fall to 5-8-2, 4-5-0 CCAA.

Senior forward Francisco Corona (Paramount, CA/Compton HS) began the scoring early for the Toros, collecting a cross inside the box from Jesse Graham (San Diego, CA/Point Loma HS) at 16:11 and beating CPP keeper Tim Sisk to the near post to account for the only scoring in the first 45-minute frame, and his fifth goal of the year.

Kamara followed his teammate's lead just six minutes into the second period as he took a rebound and connected on a header just out of Sisk's reach at 51:37. Graham then seized his own opportunity at the 58:16 mark by collecting a rebound at point blank range, and blasting it by Sisk for a CSUDH 3-0 advantage.

Kamara continued the Toros momentum just 1:30 later by mirroring Graham's effort, collecting a rebound off Corona and finding the back of the net at 59:46, good for his second score of the contest.

Senior Edgar Guzman (Long Beach, CA/Wilson HS) capped the scoring at the 85:45 mark as he dribbled by a CPP defender and found paydirt near post.

In goal, CSUDH starter Kyle Polak (Huntington Beach, CA/Fountain Valley HS) and Derby Carrillo (La Mirada, CA/St. John Bosco HS) teamed for the shutout, with Carrillo making three saves in the final 25:17 of play. CPP goalkeep Sisk was credited with four saves in the loss. As a team, CSUDH tallied 18 shots to CPP's 12, while tying in corner kicks with five a piece.

With Corona's three points on the day, the Paramount native now has 89 points in his career, tying head coach Joe Flanagan and former CCAA MVP Victor Guerrero for the CSUDH all-time mark for points in a career.

CSUDH continues CCAA action in northern California, taking on San Francisco State on Friday, October 14, and Sonoma State on Sunday, October 16. The Toros return home on Wednesday, October 19, to battle Cal State Bakersfield in a rematch of last season's CCAA Championship game, with first kick scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in Toro Stadium.
