Senior guard Brigayle Iglehart got the Toros off to a strong start in 2007-08 with victories over the University of Tampa and Northwest Nazarene.
Against the University of Tampa the senior guard used a balanced attack of nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists while coming through in the clutch, recording a game saving block with the Toros down one and 17 seconds on the clock and then raced down the court to hit the game-winning shot.
For an encore the next, Iglehart turned up the offense with a game-high 25 points, while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out four assists in a win of NNU.
On the weekend the San Diego native averaged 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists per game while shooting 50% from the field (12-for-24) and beyond the arc (2-for-4).
