Dharion Tanner wins the CSUDH Athlete of the Week award after a stellar performance that helped the Toros knock out Cal State LA and avenge the blowout they had against their crosstown rivals last month.

Tanner came up important for the Toros by scoring 14 of his 17 points in the first period that helped the Cardinal and Gold take a 45-40 halftime lead. He also went a perfect 6-for-6 on the free throw line and had also grabbed four rebounds.

A Los Angeles native, Tanner has appeared in all 18 games with 11 of them starting nods. He's averaging 10.4 points per game and is shooting 49 percent from the field.
