Simone Thompson wins her second CSUDH Athlete of the Week award in the span of a month after having a career-high night against Humboldt State Saturday.

In addition to scoring a career-high 24 points, the senior was a perfect 8-for-8 on the 3-point line for a majority of the game and attempted to tie Tayler Champion's single-game record 9 made behind the arc. However, Thompson came up short and settled 8-for-9.

The Gardena native has made six straight starts but has appeared in all 13 games. She is averaging 11 points and is shooting 38 percent from beyond the arc.
