Freshman Kayla Gillett wins her second CSUDH Athlete of the Week award after a stellar performance despite the women's basketball team's exhibition loss at Fresno State Wednesday.

Although it was off the record, Gillett bested her career mark of 21 points by scoring 24 against the Bulldogs, which included four of the Toros five 3-pointers made. 

A Los Angeles native, Gillett has started seven of her nine appearances and ranks second in points per game (12.6). She does lead all Toros with 21 3-pointers made. She's currently shooting 36.5 percent from the field.
