Deondre Otis has been named CSUDH Athlete of the Week after leading the men's basketball team to a pair of wins at the Vanguard Thanksgiving Classic last weekend. The Toros defeated Shepherd University and San Diego Christian over the holiday.

Otis combined for 27 points and was 11-for-19 from the field in his two starts, including a season-high 19 points against Shepherd. He also hit three 3-point baskets. In addition, he grabbed five rebounds and tallied four steals and assists each.

A San Francisco native, the junior transfer has started all but one of his four appearances this season. He averages 9.3 points per game and is shooting 46 percent from the field.
